Baylor Family Rejoices With Mercer, Curry
Thousands of friends and supporters packed Baylor's Ferrell Center Saturday night, Dec. 8, for a celebration event honoring Heather Mercer and Dayna Curry, who were rescued from Afghanistan in November.
The event, sponsored by Baylor and Waco's Antioch Community Church, capped a day of reunions and homecomings for the two Baylor graduates. They held a news conference at Antioch earlier Saturday afternoon.
In addition to those in attendance on campus, more than 400 Baylor friends watched the ceremony online, through an Internet webcast produced by Baylor.
