Von Stade In Concert At Baylor Oct. 13

Mezzo-soprano Frederica von Stade will perform a concert at Baylor University at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct.13, in Jones Concert Hall. This event is a joint presentation of the Baylor School of Music's Distinguished Artist Series and Armstrong Browning Library's Golden Jubilee Celebration. Von Stade will be joined on the program by her long-time piano accompanist, Martin Katz.
Von Stade's concert will feature selections from La colección de tonadillas escritas en estilo antiguo by Spanish composer Enrique Granados, Robert Schumann's song cycle Frauenliebe und -leben, Dominick Argento's Casa Guidi and Alberto Ginastera's arrangement of Cinco canciones populares argentinas.
