Baylor University's School of Education and its department of curriculum and instruction honored more than 150 area educators Wednesday morning, April 7, during the first-ever teacher appreciation breakfast held on the Baylor University campus.
"These teachers and administrators are a valued component of our teacher preparation program," said Dr. Anita Baker, associate professor of curriculum and instruction. "The breakfast is our way of expressing our appreciation to all of the educators who have worked with Baylor during the 1998-99 school year through our student teaching and early field experience programs."
More than 800 educators from public and private schools throughout Central Texas, Ft. Worth and Houston, provide Baylor students each year with valuable classroom teaching experience, observation and mentoring - all of which prepare them for a successful career in education.
