Twenty-nine missionaries from all denominations will visit Baylor University during Missions Emphasis Week Oct. 8-10.
Missions Week observance has been a student-led event for more than 20 years. The purpose of Missions Week is to make the campus and surrounding areas aware of missionary work and its importance.
"It's a challenge to students, faculty and staff to be involved in mission work," said Rae Wright, associate director of Baptist Student Ministries.
Activities include a missions fair in the Bill Daniel Student Center and seminars that will discuss issues such as day-to-day mission work, how global missions might change due to terrorist attacks and developing a relationship between Christians and Muslims. The missionaries also will discuss how to incorporate vocational careers into mission work.
