The Julie and Jim Turner Riverfront Athletic Park

The Julie and Jim Turner Riverfront Athletic Park will make a drive down University Parks Drive a "must see" stop on any visit to campus.
All of the athletic facilities there - a baseball stadium, softball stadium, soccer stadium and indoor and outdoor tennis facilities ' will be unified by common architecture and a park-type theme making each venue part of a consolidated whole. Brick matching that at the Ferrell Center will be used throughout.
Whenever possible existing trees were left in place and many more will be added. Grassy berm areas will be built to enhance the park theme.
Parking will be moved to the existing parking lot at the Ferrell Center. Plans call for construction to begin on all projects simultaneously after the current school year. This will lower the construction costs of the individual projects.
