Herbert M. Baum, chairman, president and CEO of The Dial Corporation, will discuss business management and marketing issues in a "global world" during a presentation at Baylor University on Sept. 28.
Baum's talk, which is part of the Ben H. Williams Distinguished Speakers Series, is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Cashion Academic Building at the Hankamer School of Business. The program is open to the public.
The Dial Corporation is a $1.7 billion consumer goods company that markets such brands as Dial soaps, Purex detergents, Renuzit air fresheners and Armour Star canned meats. During his career, Baum has been president and COO of Hasbro, Inc.; chairman and CEO of Quaker State Corporation; executive vice president of Campbell Corporation; and president of Campbell North and South America. The Drake University graduate has received numerous professional awards, including being named to the Sales and Marketing Executives Hall of Fame in 1998.
The Ben H. Williams Distinguished Speakers Series honors the memory of Ben Williams, who was a member of the 1923 charter class of Baylor's School of Commerce and Business Administration--today's Hankamer School of Business. An Outstanding Alumnus of Baylor and a trustee of the university, Williams endowed a fellowship in 1953 that today funds five separate professorships at Baylor.
