Violin Sonatas To Be Presented Feb. 17

Baylor University violin professor Bruce Berg and guest artist Wolfgang Watzinger will present a recital of the complete violin and piano sonatas by Johannes Brahms at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 17, in Roxy Grove Hall. Brahms wrote his three sonatas for violin and piano over a span of 10 years, from 1878 to 1888.
Watzinger, who serves as professor of piano at the Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts, has performed with critical acclaim as recitalist and orchestral soloist in major European cities, the United States, South Africa, Asia and South America. Berg has been on the Baylor faculty for seven years and also appears locally as the concertmaster of the Waco Symphony.
