February 16, 2001

Baylor University's ministry guidance program will host the President's Doctrinal Conference from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20, in the Kronzer Great Hall at the Hughes-Dillard Alumni Center. The subject for this year's conference is "Freedom and God's Sovereignty."
Baylor University President Robert B. Sloan Jr., who also serves as professor of religion and professor of Christian scriptures, will serve as conference leader. He will discuss "Freedom and the Sovereignty of God: Doctrines of Election, Predestination and Foreknowledge from a Biblical Perspective," and will cover such topics as God's love, sovereignty, grace and providence and the human response to God's grace.
The purpose of the conference is to assist church and denominational leaders as they give leadership to this doctrinal study in their churches.
