Baylor/Waco Community Prayer Breakfast Set for Jan. 21

January 18, 2000

Nearly 1,000 members of the Baylor University and Central Texas area will gather at
6:30 a.m. Friday at the Ferrell Special Events Center for the 13th annual President's Community Prayer Breakfast.
Dr. Milton Cunningham, special assistant to the vice president of student life, said the Ferrell Center is always at capacity for the breakfast. "Over the years, the prayer breakfast has provided an opportunity for the Waco community and the Baylor campus to come together and focus on their goals and their aspirations for the new year," Cunningham said.
President Robert B. Sloan Jr. will serve as keynote speaker during the ceremony. Special affirmations of prayer will be offered by Archie Hatton, principal at J. H. Hines Elementary School, and Priscilla Gutierrez, regional manager of Bank of America.
