Grandparents Weekend Set for March 26-28

Baylor University will host its sixth annual Grandparents Weekend March 26-28.
Grandparents Weekend is held to honor grandparents who are supporting students through college. Registration is from 2-5 p.m. on Friday in the lobby of the Bill Daniel Student Center. The cost for the weekend is $45 for grandparents or parents attending, and $15 for students.
On Friday, events include tours of the Armstrong Browning Library at 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. A garden party will be held at 6 p.m. at Founders Mall and the Burleson Quadrangle.
Grandparents will have another opportunity to tour the Armstrong Browning Library at
10 a.m Saturday. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. at the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village. A 2:30 p.m. matinee of SHOWTIME! will be featured at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $3 at the door. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. on the fifth floor of the Cashion Academic Building in the Hankamer School of Business. The guest speaker will be Kathryn M. Mueller, professor of sociology.
Grandparents may fellowship with their grandchildren at the church of their choice on Sunday. This year's sponsors include the Baylor Alumni Association, the Institute of Gerontological Studies, and Dana Haynes, assistant director of student activities.
