Baylor Theater Presents Joined at the Head Feb. 19-28

February 17, 1999

Baylor Theater will present Catherine Butterfield's Joined at the Head, a tale of friendship and priorities, on Feb. 19-20 and Feb. 23-28 in the Mabee Theater at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Building on the Baylor University campus. Curtain time will be 7:30 p.m. Feb. 19-20 and Feb. 23-27 with a matinee scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 28.
Joined at the Head tells the story of a successful novelist who meets with her high school flame and his dying wife, with whom she strikes up a friendship.
"The character of the novelist, Maggie Mulroney, has never made time for friends and relationships, but she is set straight and learns what is important in life," said Dr. Stan Denman, lecturer in theater arts and director of the Baylor production. "However, the play is not as depressing as it sounds. There are some funny moments."
Joined at the Head stars Elizabeth Van Winkle, a senior from Lake Charles, La., as Maggie Mulroney; Michael Turner, a junior from Plano, as Jim Burroughs; and Jennifer Bassett, a junior from Tucson, Az., as Maggy Burroughs.
Tickets for the production are $8 and can be purchased at the Theater box office. For more information, call 710-1865.
