Baylor/Waco Community Prayer Breakfast Set for Jan. 22

January 19, 1999

Nearly 1,000 members of the Baylor University and Central Texas area will gather at 6:30 a.m. Friday at the Ferrell Special Events Center for the annual President's Community Prayer Breakfast.
Dr. Milton Cunningham, director of denominational ministries and university chaplain, said the Ferrell Center is always full during the breakfast, with 55 percent of participants from the community and 45 percent from the campus.
"Over the years, the Prayer Breakfast has provided an opportunity for the Waco community and the Baylor campus to come together and focus on their goals and their aspirations for the new year," Cunningham said. "This will be the 12th Prayer Breakfast."
Dr. Steven Moore, vice president of student life, will serve as keynote speaker during the ceremony. Dr. Jack Kyle Daniels, president of the Methodist Children's Home, will share a testimony and offer a prayer during the service.
Ann Harder, KXXV news anchor, will provide special music as will Jeremy Vaughn, a Baylor student from Grand Prairie.
