University High School Mariachi Band to Play for Chapel Forum

The University High School Mariachi Band will perform during Baylor University's Chapel Forum at 10 and 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 5, as part of Hispanic Heritage Week. This will mark the second appearance by the Mariachi Band at Chapel. The band also played for students last fall during Hispanic Heritage Week.
University High students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, make up the 16-member band, led by director Jose Nino. The band, which performs throughout Central Texas, has made appearances on the international TV network Univision which broadcasts to South America, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Cuba and the United States.
