Baylor Theatre Presents Shakespeare's 'As You Like It'

Baylor Theater will present William Shakespeare's beloved comedy "As You Like It," beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 24-26 and March 3-5. Matinee performances will begin at 2 p.m. on Feb. 27 and March 6. The production will take place at the Mabee Theater in the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Center.
"'As You Like It' is one of Shakespeare's most popular plays. It is great fun and a wonderful experience for Shakespeare lovers and novices alike," said Lisa Denman, the play's director.
The classic comedy examines the difference between the luxurious life and the country life, all the while probing the eternal complexities of love. It has been performed on stages around the world to delighted audiences for more than 300 years.
The production features Katharine Everett, Jenny Ledel, Blake Evans and Graham Michel. Other cast members include Tyler Johnson, Bryan Partridge, Trina McCarron, Nate Records, Kate Ash, Shane Jones, Jonathan Walton, Ashlee McMillian, and Benjamin Thomas.
Tickets for the production are $10 for the public and $8 for Baylor students, faculty and staff. The theatre box office is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday. To order tickets by phone, call (254) 710-1865.
