Singer Anthony Evans To Perform At Chapel Feb. 23

Rising music star Anthony Evans will perform at Baylor University during Chapel services at 10 and 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, in Waco Hall. Evans' solo debut album, "Even More," was released in June 2004 and features guest appearances from Kirk Franklin and Crystal Lewis.
Born in Dallas, Evans was a part of Liberty University's Sounds of Liberty, followed by two years as a vocalist with TRUTH. As a background vocalist for friend and gospel musician Kirk Franklin, Evans has appeared on such television shows as "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Soul Train."
He has performed more than 50 solo dates at churches and conferences and recently performed for President George W. Bush. He credits Amy Grant, Stephen Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith and the Winans for helping to develop his own style.
According to www.anthony-evans.com, "Even More" features "Anthony's powerful, soul infused vocals on a collection of adult contemporary/pop flavored songs that feature urban and gospel-tinged moments." Evans co wrote all but two of the songs on his album.
Evans is the son of Dr. Tony Evans, founder of the Urban Alternative and senior pastor of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas.
