Baylor to Host Baseball Camps

Baylor University will host the Steve Smith Baylor Bear baseball camps, which will consist of five different camp sessions in June and July.
The first three camp sessions are day camps held from 9 a.m. to noon daily. They are scheduled for June 15-19, June 22-26 and July 6-10. The camps will focus on game fundamentals. Students ages 7-12 are eligible to attend. The fee per student for each day camp session is $125.
The fourth camp is a pitcher/catcher/hitter specialty camp for students ages 13 through 1998 high school graduates. The camp is scheduled for July 10-12. The fees are $225 for overnight campers and $195 for commuters.
The fifth camp session is a total skills overnight camp from July 12-16. Campers will be coached on all phases of the game, as well as instructed on individual positions. Students from age 9 through 1998 high school graduates are eligible to attend. The fees are $305 for overnight campers and $260 for commuters.
Baylor head baseball coach Steve Smith will serve as camp director. Mitch Thompson and Steve Johnigan, Baylor baseball assistant coaches, will serve as the co-directors for the camps. Coaches from colleges, junior colleges and high schools across the country will assist, as well as current Baylor baseball players. The camp is designed to maintain a 10-to-1 camper to coach ratio.
