Jeff Leach, Baylor's student body president and a senior political science major from Frisco, released the following statement:

Official Statement by Baylor University Student Body President Jeff Leach:

Many lives have been changed at Baylor as a result of the unashamed, unapologetic and unwavering commitment to our mission "to educate men and women for worldwide leadership and service by integrating academic excellence and Christian commitment within a caring community." We eagerly endorse Baylor 2012 and look forward to our continuing work on behalf of the Baylor student body in the coming days.
I will be eternally grateful for the impact that Dr. Sloan has had on my life and I know I speak for thousands of current students and graduates when I express my heartfelt gratitude for his service to our University. Minds have been challenged, leaders have been raised up and lives have been changed because of Dr. Sloan and his leadership.
The Baylor University Student Body stands behind Chairman Davis and the Board of Regents as they continue to lead the Baylor family through these challenging times. We are confident that Baylor will continue to be a city on a hill and will become an even brighter light to the world in the coming days as we unite and move forward together.
