University Art Gallery To Feature Painting Exhibit Through March 12

An exhibition of contemporary paintings by well-known San Antonio artist Reginald Rowe will be on display through March 12 in the University Art Gallery at the Hooper-Schaefer Fine Arts Building on the Baylor University campus.
A graduate of Princeton University, Rowe studied at the Art Students League of New York and received his M.F.A. from the Instituto Allende, University of Guanajuato, Mexico, where he was an instructor. He also taught at the San Antonio Art Institute from 1964 through 1988 and was chairman of the faculty for 12 years.
Rowe's numerous group exhibitions include museum shows in New York, San Antonio, Corpus Christi, New Orleans, Newport Beach, Calif., and Lima, Peru. His work also can be found in numerous public collections including Exxon Corporation, Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum, San Antonio Museum of Art, Galleria Bank and Gulf Resources Corporation.
The University Art Gallery is open from Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. For more information, contact the Baylor department of art at (254) 710-1867.
