Center for Ministry Effectiveness to Host First Retreat

February 24, 1998

The Baylor University Center for Ministry Effectiveness will host a church staff retreat on March 2- 3 in the Bill Daniel Student Center.
Dr. Winfred Moore, director of the center, said the retreat will assist ministers in focusing on issues that help prevent ministry fatigue and enhance their efficiency.
"We want to help ministers share their ministry experiences and sharpen their ministry skills," Moore said. "We also want to show them ways to deal with the stress associated with their profession."
Topics for the retreat will deal with physical fitness and the personal health of ministers, conflict management, trends confronting various programs of the church, congregations and family ministries.
Pastors, their spouses and staff members from churches in San Antonio, Dallas, Amarillo, Abilene and Central Texas will attend the retreat. The center will host similar conferences and seminars throughout the year.
Baylor experts will lead workshops during the retreat.
