Baylor Scholars Teaching ‘Favorite Texts’ Part of Chaplain’s Bible Study for Faculty and Staff

WACO, Texas (Sept. 23, 2019) – The Chaplain’s Office at Baylor University will host a Bible study beginning in October for faculty and staff that will feature Baylor Scholars teaching on one of their favorite texts. The study will begin each Tuesday at 12:15 p.m. in the Bobo Spiritual Life Center. After a light lunch, the teaching will be held from approximately from 12:30 to 1 p.m.

The Baylor Scholars who will be leading the weekly Bible study are:

  • Oct. 1 – Robert Creech, Ph.D., professor of Christian ministries, The Hubert and Gladys S. Raborn Professorship of Pastoral Leadership and director of pastoral ministries, Truett Seminary.
  • Oct. 8 – Steve Reid, Ph.D., professor of Christian Scriptures, Truett Seminary.
  • Oct. 15 – Deirdre Fulton, Ph.D., associate professor of Hebrew Bible/Old Testament, Religion.
  • Oct. 22 – Mikeal Parsons, Ph.D., professor and The Kidd L. and Buna Hitchcock Macon Chair in Religion in Religion, Religion.
  • Oct. 29 – Lidija Novakovic, Ph.D., associate professor of New Testament, Religion.
  • Nov. 5 – Dennis Tucker, Ph.D., associate dean and professor of Christian Scriptures, Truett Seminary.
