Baylor Theatre's Macbeth Starts Feb. 20

The Baylor Theatre Department will present Shakespeare's Macbeth at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 20, at the Hooper-Schaffer Fine Arts Center's Mabee Theatre.
Continuing performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 21 and Feb. 24-28. There will be a matinee at 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 21.
Two guest actors, Rick Hamilton and Fredi Olster, will appear courtesy of Community Bank and Trust, the Herbert H. and Joy C. Reynolds Endowment for University Excellence and Allen Samuels Chevrolet.
Hamilton has appeared in more than 40 Shakespearean productions and in various professional productions with the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the American Conservatory of Music. He appeared in the original Broadway production of Amadeus, as well as in television and film productions. Hamilton also has directed stage productions including One Glorious Afternoon, American Buffalo, Harvey, The Deal and Critic's Choice.
Olster, formerly of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and the American Conservatory Theatre, is known best for her performance as Kate in the American Conservatory Theatre production The Taming of the Shrew. Beyond the stage, Olster has made appearances on television shows such as Cagney and Lacey, Babylon 5 , A Year in the Life and The Lou Grant Show.
Olster and Hamilton have co-written a book titled Discovering Shakespeare: A Workbook for Students and Teachers. They have completed three volumes including Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream and The Taming of the Shrew.
Theatre arts professor Patricia Cook will serve as director of the Baylor production.
