Soprano Robin Fisher and pianist John Cozza, members of the Baylor University music faculty, will present a joint recital at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, in Roxy Grove Hall.

Fisher is assistant professor of vocal studies, and Cozza serves as assistant professor of piano and coordinator of accompanying.

The program will open with "Five Sacred Songs," arrangements by Benjamin Britten of music by Johann Sebastian Bach. Fisher will sing a pair of concert arias by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Another German set will follow with music by Franz Schubert, Felix Mendelssohn and Johannes Brahms. The first half of the recital will close with four songs by Sergei Rachmaninoff.

After intermission, Fisher will sing "The Silver Aria" from Douglas Moore's opera "The Ballad of Baby Doe," Maurice Ravel's "Five Popular Greek Songs" and Leonard Bernstein's witty cycle of children's songs, "I Hate Music." The program will conclude with a vocal performance of the familiar waltz "Voices of Spring" by Johann Strauss Jr.

The recital is free of charge and open to the public. For more information, call the Baylor School of Music at 710-3991.
