Some Campus Facilities to Close, Alter Hours for Christmas

As the fall semester comes to a close, some Baylor University facilities and dining services will close or have limited hours during the holidays.

WACO, Texas (Dec. 19, 2018) – As the fall semester comes to a close, some Baylor University facilities and dining services will close or have limited hours during the holidays. Baylor University will be closed in observance of the Christmas and New Year’s holidays from Dec. 24 to Jan. 2, 2019.
The following are changes to campus facility hours:

Residential Halls

  • Residence halls are closed and will reopen Thursday, Jan. 10, for new and returning students.

Dining and Retail Services

  • Moe’s Southwest Grill and Which Wich Superior Sandwiches and Starbucks in the Baylor Sciences Building restaurants are closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 14.
  • Common Grounds in the SUB is closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 7, with limited business hours from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Chick-Fil-A and Steak ‘n Shake are closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 7, with limited business hours from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Freshii, Panda Express, Au Bon Pain and The East Village Bakery are closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 14.
  • Starbucks in Moody Library is closed and will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2.
  • The Law School Café, Penland P.O.D. Market and Terrace Café are closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 7.
  • Brooks Great Hall, East Village Dining Commons, 1845 at Memorial and The Penland Crossroads are closed and will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 9.

Libraries

  • The Central Libraries, Moody 24-Hour Areas, Starbucks, Armstrong Browning Library, W.R. Poage Library, Graduate Research Center, GRC Incubator and The Texas Collection will close Saturday, Dec. 22, and reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2.
  • The Law Library will remain open throughout Christmas, and the Law School will be open Dec. 26-27 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Nursing Learning Resource Center in Dallas is closed and will reopen Wednesday, Jan. 2.

McLane Student Life Center

  • The McLane Student Life Center is closed and will reopen Monday, Jan. 7, with limited hours from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Normal hours will resume Monday, Jan. 14. The pool will reopen Monday, Jan. 14. The rock wall will reopen Monday, Jan. 14.
  • Bill Daniel Student Center/Mailroom
  • The Student Union Building will have limited hours from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Dec. 19-21. The SUB and mailroom will close Dec. 22 and reopen Jan. 2.

Campus Bookstore

  • On Dec. 16-22, the Baylor Bookstore will be open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • The bookstore will be closed on Mondays and Tuesday between Dec. 23 and Jan. 5. Between these dates the bookstore will be open on Wednesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Jan. 6-12 the bookstore will be open Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Normal hours will resume Monday, Jan. 14.
