Baylor Mourns Deaths Of Three Faculty Members

In July, Baylor University mourned the passing of three beloved professors - Dr. F. Ray Wilson, Robert B. Jones and Dr. A.J. (Chip) Conyers.

A campuswide memorial service for Dr. Ray Wilson will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 26, in the Powell Chapel at Truett Seminary. For more information, call University Ministries at (254) 710-3517.


Funeral services for one of Baylor University's most beloved faculty members, Dr. F. Ray Wilson, were held July 20 at Waco Hall on the Baylor campus. Wilson, who was professor of biology, director of the Honors Program and Master Teacher, passed away July 10 while on a study-abroad program in Rome. He was 62.


Robert B. Jones


A campuswide memorial service for Robert Jones will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, in Miller Chapel. For more information, call University Ministries at (254) 710-3517.


Robert B. Jones, a popular and beloved faculty member at Baylor's Hankamer School of Business, died July 13. Jones, who was 52, was a senior lecturer in management and entrepreneur-in-residence.


Dr. A.J. (Chip) Conyers


A campuswide memorial service for Dr. Chip Conyers is pending.


Dr. Abdah Johnson (Chip) Conyers, one of George W. Truett Theological Seminary's first faculty members, died July 18 in Houston following a long struggle with cancer. He was 60.
