Adamski to Speak On Nafta and European Union Oct. 23

October 21, 1997

Dr. Janet Adamski, assistant professor of political science at Baylor University, will speak to the Council for International Education at 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, in Room 201 of the W.R. Poage Legislative Library Center. The lecture is part of the council's series "All the News That's Fit to Discuss."
Her speech, titled "NAFTA and the European Union: Where Did They Come From, Where Are They Going?" stems from her dissertation on European Unions.
"At this point, we are seeing cracks in European Unions, and we're seeing reasons to move forward with NAFTA," Adamski said. "It's interesting to compare the two and see how they relate."
Adamski is the fifth of the 10 speakers scheduled to speak this semester as part of the educational series.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
