Baylor Showtime! to Perform in Chapel-Forum Oct. 22

Baylor ShowTime!, a song and dance troupe that represents Baylor University, will perform at Chapel-Forum at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22, at Waco Hall. The group will present several acts to promote Cabaret, an annual Homecoming show.
Organized in 1980, ShowTime! has performed for the governor of Texas and for audiences throughout the state and the Southwest.
Directed by Leta Horan, assistant professor of piano, the group consists of 10 singers and three instrumentalists and performs revue-style programs of selections from American musical theater, contemporary music and old favorites.
Horan is a Baylor graduate who has a bachelor's and master's degree in music. She accompanies the group on the piano and does much of the arranging.
Jerry MacLauchlin is the principal choreographer for ShowTime! A 1969 Baylor graduate, he has extensive experience as a performer, actor/director and choreographer in professional theater.
