Professor to Speak On 'South Africa Beyond Apartheid' Oct. 16

October 10, 1997

Dr. Caleb O. Oladipo, lecturer in African Studies and Sociology at Baylor University, will address the Council for International Education at 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, in Room 201 of the W.R. Poage Legislative Library Center.
Oladipo will define apartheid in his speech "South African Society Beyond Apartheid." He will discuss problems created within society due to discrimination and how all societies have been affected negatively and will examine reconciliation between races so Africa can move forward.
Oladipo is one of 10 Baylor professors who will speak as a part of the Council for International Education's lecture series this fall titled "All The News That's Fit To Discuss." The series began in 1995 and is a weekly session which features different faculty members who discuss issues with which they have experience.
