Parents League Names New Mexico Couple As Parents of the Year

WACO, Texas -Mike and Pam Worley of Roswell, N.M., have been named Baylor University's Parents of the Year for 1997 and will be honored following "After Dark," a student talent show, on Friday, Oct. 3, in Waco Hall.
The award is presented each year by the Baylor Parents League. It honors outstanding parents of Baylor students and is held in conjunction with Parents Weekend.
Mike is a 1973 Baylor graduate, and since completing Baylor Law School in 1975, he has been practicing law in Roswell with Sanders, Bruin, Coll & Worley. He was a member of Kappa Omega Tau fraternity. Pam taught elementary school after graduating from Baylor in 1972. She was a member of Kappa Theta, which is now Delta Delta Delta.
The Worleys were members of the Baylor Development Council and they serve as presidents of the New Mexico Parents League. They support Baylor by hosting send-off parties, alumni gatherings and events promoting the Student Life Complex and Bear Foundation. Josh, their oldest son, is a junior at Baylor, and Jeremy is a junior in high school planning to attend Baylor.
The award will be presented by Donna McAninch, director of the Parents League, and Josh Pittman, a member of the Baylor Chamber of Commerce.
