September 17, 1997

More than 100 employers will attend the Baylor University Career Services Career Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the Ferrell Center.
Arthur Andersen, Exxon, Ford Motor Credit Co., Southwestern Bell, Sherwin-Williams and Texas Commerce Bank represent some of the many institutions that will participate in the fair. Out-of-state employers include Microsoft Corp. in Washington, Capital One Financial Services in Virginia, AMC Theaters in Florida and Shaw Carpet Manufacturers in Georgia. Company representatives will visit with students about career opportunities and accept resumes.
Pam Doherty, assistant director for career development for Baylor, said all Baylor students and alumni can benefit from the fair.
"The career fair will prove helpful to freshmen and sophomores in gaining a career direction, to juniors in obtaining internship opportunities and graduating seniors to secure full-time employment," she said.
All Baylor students and alumni may attend the fair. Those attending should dress professionally and bring resumes to give to employers.
