Baylor Adds Recruiter to Admission Services Staff

August 29, 1997

The Baylor University Office of Admission Services recently added Tanya Darnell to its recruitment staff.
Darnell will serve as an admissions counselor and recruit students in the Houston area. Her out-of-state responsibilities will include Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin.
A 1996 Baylor graduate, Darnell majored in sociology. Before joining Baylor, she worked as a youth counselor for the Kate Ross after-school program and taught in the Waco Independent School District.
While at Baylor, Darnell participated in the Association of Black Students and served as community service chair. She also sang in the Heavenly Voices Gospel Choir serving as vice president her senior year. Darnell said she wanted to continue her Baylor experience after a positive student career.
"I just love it here at Baylor," she said. "I was not ready to leave yet. I like the idea of traveling and being a representative of the school."
For more information contact Darnell or Teri Tippit, director of recruitment for the Office of Admission Services at 710-3435.
