Regents Approve Honoris Causa Athletics Regents

WACO, Texas (June 1, 2017) – The Baylor University Board of Regents has approved W. Brett Beene, B.B.A. ’87, of Mexia, and Dusty Sanderson, B.A. ’79, of Amarillo, as Honoris Causa Athletics Regents.

Both Beene and Sanderson were nominated for election by their respective organizations, the Baylor Bear Foundation and Baylor “B” Association.

Beene, dealer principal and owner of Beene Motor Sales in Mexia, is a past president of the Bear Foundation. He served one year as a non-voting member of the Board and was re-elected to serve an additional two years as a voting member through 2019.

Sanderson, who has owned an oil and gas properties business for 36 years, serves as president of the “B” Association, the official letterwinners organization of the University. He was elected to serve a three-year term as a voting member of the Board.
