Baylor to Host Texas Baptist Church Music Conference

Baylor University will host the 1997 Texas Baptist Church Music Conference July 28-30. The theme for this year's conference is "Many Gifts, One Spirit."
Classes dealing with leading preschool children, youth choirs, adult choirs and bell choirs will be provided at various campus locations. In addition, classes on keyboard skills and piano instruction and product demonstration classes for keyboards, computers and teaching products will also be available.
Fellowship meetings, including an association music director's breakfast, retired ministers' brunch and minister of music wives' dinner, will be held during the conference.
Evening sessions will feature concerts by Wade Daniels, a pianist; Singing Women of Texas, composed of several Texas choir members; Corem Deo, an a cappella choir; and Riverbend Brass, a brass ensemble. Ten Talents Ministries will also present a dramatic theme interpretation.
Approximately 200 people will attend the conference.
