WACO, Texas (Nov. 29, 2016) – Baylor University will usher in the winter holidays this week with a number of festive events, including the annual Christmas on 5th Street.

WEDNESDAY, Nov. 30
Crafty Christmas – Student Financial Foundations will host a holiday craft night at 6:30 p.m. in the North Russell Lobby, 316 Dutton Ave. Hot chocolate and cookies will be provided. This event is free, but you must RSVP to financial_foundations@baylor.edu.

THURSDAY, Dec. 1
Christmas at the Mayborn – The Mayborn Museum Complex will host Christmas-themed events and activities from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the museum, 1300 S. University Parks Drive. Visitors can enjoy a model train display from the Central Texas Area Modern Railroaders, a Nativity-themed photo op, a visit from Santa, holiday crafts and Christmas treats. Christmas activities are included in the price of museum admission, which is $8 for adults, $6 for children under 12, $7 for seniors and free for museum members and Baylor University students. Christmas on 5th Street – Baylor University will host the annual Christmas on 5th Street from 6 to 10 p.m. on Fountain Mall, Burleson Quadrangle, the Traditions Plaza and the Bill Daniel Student Center.

Activities include carriage rides, a petting zoo, a live nativity, photos with Santa, letters to Santa, a Christmas tree auction, a performance by the Columbus Avenue Baptist Church Handbell Choir. There will also be a Christmas tree farm and a Christmas marketplace.

The event is presented by the Baylor Activities Council, the Department of Student Activities, Kappa Omega Tau Fraternity, Baylor Religious Hour Choir, the Multicultural Greek Council, Inc., Freshman Class Council, Union Board and Stu Pro.

• Multicultural Greek Council Marketplace from 2 to 10 p.m. on the third floor of the Bill Daniel Student Center
• Baylor Religious Hour Choir Concert at 5:30 p.m. in Barfield Drawing Room of the Bill Daniel Student Center
• Modern Language & Cultures Carols Around the World at 6:30 p.m. in the SUB Bowl
• Baylor Religious Hour Choir Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Barfield Drawing Room
• Kappa Omega Tau Christmas Tree Lighting at 8:45 p.m. in Burleson Quadrangle
• Concert by Cory Morrow at 9:45 p.m. at Waco Hall

A Baylor Christmas – The combined choirs of Baylor University and the Baylor Symphony Orchestra will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Jones Concert Hall of Glennis McCrary Music Building, 110 Baylor Ave. Click here to purchase tickets online.
