UPDATE - Power Restored - Campus Power Outage, May 14, 2016

WACO, Texas (May 14, 2016) – Power is gradually being restored throughout campus after a power outage caused by a lightning strike affected a significant portion of the main Baylor University campus today.

As power is being restored, ITS staff members are ensuring that all campus systems and networks return to normal operations. For updates on IT-related systems, please check the DOWN line at 254-710-DOWN (3696).

12:13 p.m. update
WACO, Texas (May 14, 2016) – A power outage caused by a lightning strike has affected a significant portion of the main Baylor University campus. Crews are currently working to restore power, but the duration of the outage is unknown at this time.

The Ferrell Center and the Simpson Center on University Parks Drive have been unaffected by the outage.

The Mayborn Museum is among the buildings without power and is closed at this time.

The Baylor-TCU baseball game remains on schedule at 3:05 p.m. at Baylor Ballpark.
