Wellness Office to Sponsor Health Expo '97

The Baylor University Office of Health Education and Wellness will sponsor Health Expo '97 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in the lobby of the Bill Daniel Student Center.
The expo will sponsor health-related companies and institutions that will promote healthy living to Baylor students, faculty and staff members. More than 30 companies will attend the expo including the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, Waco EMS, SmithKline Beecham pharmaceutical company, Golds Gym, Lakewood Tennis and Racquetball Club and Samaritan Counseling Center. Andrea King of the Wellness office said the expo will cover physical, social, mental and spiritual health issues.
Participants in the expo can win door prizes such as free massages and memberships to Golds Gym and Lakewood.
King said as more people gain awareness of health issues our society will improve in various ways.
"It takes a whole group of people to make a healthy community," King said.
