Career Services to Host Job Search Strategies Seminar Feb. 13

February 11, 1997

The Baylor University Career Services Center will host a Creative Job Search Strategies seminar from 5-6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at Kayser Auditorium in the Hankamer School of Business.
The purpose of the seminar is to teach students how to expand a job search beyond the traditional search methods. Students also can learn effective techniques in marketing their credentials.
John Cunningham, lecturer in Communications Studies, will conduct the seminar. He said students need to get all the information they can about job search techniques.
"The job search is a crucial step in the process of getting a job," he said. "Students must be able to tap into all of the sources available to them to find out about possible positions. Without the job search, the resume and cover letter won't have a purpose to serve."
