Tillie Burgin to Speak in Chapel-Forum Feb. 10

Tillie Burgin, director of Mission Arlington, will speak during Chapel-Forum at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 10, in Waco Hall at Baylor University.
As part of Hunger Awareness Week sponsored by the Baptist Student Union, Burgin will speak on how Mission Arlington ministers to the hungry and the poor by providing food, clothing and a Bible study. She founded Mission Arlington in 1986 after being the director of employee relations from 1987-88 and Director of Personnel for Arlington public schools from 1983-86.
Burgin graduated from North Texas State University with a bachelor's degree in 1958 and a master's degree in 1963. From Texas Christian University she received a Special Education Certificate in 1971, a Supervision Certificate in 1972 and an Administrator's Certificate in 1983. She has held several positions in Arlington public schools and has been a missionary with the Southern Baptist Foreign Mission Board in Seoul and Taejon Korea.
