Gender Studies to Present Prime-Time Feminism Jan. 30

Bonnie J. Dow, professor in the Department of Speech Communication at the University of Georgia, will speak at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, in Draper Academic Building Room 116 at Baylor University.
Dow will discuss "Prime-Time Feminism," her most recent publication which provides specific case studies of The Mary Tyler Moore Show, One Day at a Time, Designing Women, Murphy Brown and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
Dow is a graduate of Baylor and has earned a doctorate in speech communication from the University of Georgia and also has taught at the University of Cincinnati and North Dakota State University.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
