WACO, Texas (Nov. 21, 2014) – Baylor University Executive MBA student Matt Clark, BBA ’00, has been awarded a $10,000 scholarship from the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation.
“I was very honored and surprised,” Clark said. “It was a real blessing to get it. To have this money to put towards paying off tuition is a huge help.”
The foundation awarded 31 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate business students who focus on entrepreneurship studies at Texas universities. Awards were presented at a luncheon in their honor at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
Clark is pursuing his degree through the Hankamer School of Business’ Executive MBA Program in Dallas.
While an undergraduate at Baylor, Clark double-majored in management information systems and accounting. He is the co-founder and chief technology officer at Valify, a software service company that focuses on helping hospitals save through automated accounts payable analytics. Clark was previously the vice president of software development at CareView Communications. Clark also helped build Voyence, a network configuration management software startup acquired in 2007 by the IT hardware solutions company EMC.
Designed for the mid-career professional, the Baylor Executive MBA Program in Dallas is rigorous and relevant. The goal is to develop business leaders with recognized integrity, superior theoretical knowledge and practical skills of modern global business in a collaborative learning environment.
