WACO, Texas (Feb. 25, 2014) - The Center for Astrophysics, Space Physics and Engineering Research (CASPER) at Baylor University will host its spring seminar series on Feb. 28, March 4 and April 4.

The schedule of guest speakers is as follows:

� Michael Winter, Ph.D., assistant professor in the University of Kentucky's College of Engineering
2:30 p.m. Feb. 28, in the Baylor Sciences Building, A.207
Lecture Title: "Airborne Observation of Capsule Re-Entries: Stardust, ATV Jules, Verne and Hayabusa"

� Richard David, CEO, Co-Founder and Editor-in-Chief of NewSpace Global
3:30 p.m. March 4, Baylor Sciences Building, A.207
Lecture Title: "NewSpace: A Great Innovation Economy Emerges"

� Dr. Touradj Solouki, professor of chemistry and biochemistry in Baylor University's College of Arts & Sciences
2:30 p.m. April 4, at the Baylor Research and Innovative Collaborative (BRIC), Room 3160
Lecture Title: To be announced

Sherri Honza, assistant to the vice provost for research at Baylor, said that more speakers may be added to the list, but the office is waiting for confirmation.

The Baylor Sciences Building is at 105 Baylor Ave., and the BRIC is at 100 Research Parkway in Waco.
