October 29, 1996

WACO, Texas - Dr. Terry Morgan recently joined Baylor University's Office of Development as Director of Foundations, promoting Baylor programs with local, state and national foundations.
Morgan, formerly with Buckner Baptist Benevolences, also will work with Baylor deans and faculty members in coordinating proposal writings with individual foundations.
"We are very pleased and excited to have Dr. Morgan join us, helping build our relationships with foundations," said Dr. Gwin Morris, assistant vice president for university development.
At Buckner, Morgan worked in retirement services and marketing and community relations. Prior to Buckner, she worked for six years at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, where she gained her experience working with foundations.
"My immediate goals at Baylor relate to the campaign for the Student Life Complex," Morgan said. "I will be working on proposals for the Student Life Complex from individual foundations."
"I also will function as development liaison with Baylor's graduate school and the libraries although, I really cross all academic lines in helping promote all Baylor programs and soliciting support from foundations," she said.
Originally from Georgia, Morgan earned her undergraduate degree from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Ariz., and her master's and doctoral degrees in educational administration from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
She is married to Dr. Michael Morgan, assistant dean at Baylor's George W. Truett Theological Seminary.
