Mock Presidential Debate to Be Held at Baylor Oct. 29

Two professors will "square off" on the economic policies of Bob Dole and Bill Clinton in a mock presidential debate at Baylor University on Tuesday, Oct. 29.
Sponsored by the Baylor Economics Department and Omicron Delta Epsilon economics honor society, the debate will be held at 3:30 p.m. in Kayser Auditorium, located in the Hankamer School of Business. It is free and open to the public.
Dr. H. Stephen Gardner and Dr. John L. Pisciotta will discuss the issues and implications of the economic policies of the two presidential candidates. Gardner will speak on Clinton's policies and Pisciotta will focus on Dole's economic platform.
Gardner, who serves as the Herman Brown Professor of Economics and director of the McBride Center for International Business Entrepreneurship, has been a member of the Baylor faculty since 1978. Pisciotta, an associate professor of economics, joined the Baylor faculty in 1980.
