Baptist Student Ministry to Host Fall Conference

WACO, Texas - The Baylor University Baptist Student Ministries (BSM) will host the Texas Baptist Student Ministries Fall Conference Friday and Saturday Sept. 27-28.
Representatives from BSM from across Texas will attend the conference which has the theme "Without Limits." Seminars will be given in the areas of leadership development, discipleship, outreach, worship and special interest seminars on dating and student missions. The conference will begin Friday evening with a celebration of the 75th anniversary of Baptist student ministry work in Texas. Clif Mouser, Baylor BSM director, said Texas Baptist student work has reached many goals since its beginning and looks to reach higher goals in the future.
"God has honored the BSM in Texas," he said. "The vision of the BSM is to impact the world and it has done that. Many students have been called into the ministry through BSM across the state."
Speakers for the conference will include Erwin McManus of Church on Brady Street in Los Angeles, Calif., Rene Rochester of Urban S.E.T. in Austin, Chris Tomlin of Shepherd Ministries in Irving, and Sam Douglass of Yorktown Baptist Church in Corpus Christi. Concerts will be given by the groups Sierra and Two or More.
