1996 Elections Subject of Baylor/waco Breakfast

September 20, 1996

Baylor University and the Waco Chamber of Commerce will host Breakfast at Baylor at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, in the Harrington House on the Baylor campus.
During the breakfast, Dr. Richard Riley, professor of political science, will discuss "Politics and Elections in 1996: What Difference Do They Make?" Riley said he will discuss issues related to the upcoming presidential and congressional elections and ask the question of the actual impact those elections will have on the government itself. "Elections obviously have an impact on who holds the office but does it really matter who is elected in regard to governmental policy direction?"
The breakfast provides an opportunity for the academic and business communities of Waco to interact.
Tickets for the breakfast are $10 for Chamber of Commerce members, $15 for non-members and must be reserved. For more information or to make reservations, call Linda Goates at 752-6551.
