Baylor to Present Workshop on Business Growth Sept. 19

A workshop titled "Smart Growth for Profitability and Business Continuity" will be presented by Streich Visiting Family Business Lecturer Ernesto J. Poza at the North Texas Family Business Forum, a part of Baylor University's Institute for Family Business. The workshop will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the DoubleTree Parkwest, 1590 LBJ Freeway in Dallas.
The morning workshop program will be led by Poza, a professor at Case Western University, who is an expert in the field of family business. His book, "Smart Growth: Critical Choices for Business Continuity," has been featured on CNN, NBC, ABC, and NPR. Poza also co-edits the Nation's Business column, titled "The Family Business Case Study."
During the workshop, Poza will discuss the need for growth, and balancing this growth with the goals and special needs of a family business. In addition to the scheduled program, the workshop will also include a continental breakfast, lunch, a roundtable session and networking opportunities for participants.
