Baylor University Bookstore Celebrates Family Weekend with Book Signing Event

WACO, Texas (Oct. 10, 2012) - The Baylor University Bookstore will join the variety of activities planned for Parent and Family Weekend with an in-store Book Signing event on Saturday, Oct. 13, for visitors to meet and have books signed by a range of local authors and Baylor alumni.
The event is open to the Baylor and Waco communities and also will feature music performed by Baylor students.
Featured authors include Dr. Jimmy Dorrell, who - in addition to publishing three books that explore poverty and the evolution of the church - serves as a part-time lecturer at Baylor and Truett Seminary, executive director of Mission Waco and pastor for Church Under the Bridge. Kim Mulkey, head coach of Baylor Lady Bears basketball team, also will sign her two titles: Invincible, which looks back at Baylor's 2011-2012 national championship season, and Won't Back Down, which focuses on Mulkey's upbringing and coaching philosophy. Looking to educate and engage college students in the 2012 election, 2010 Baylor graduate Salvator La Mastra will sign his first book, 2012 for Twentysomethings: A Young Voter's Guide to the 2012 Elections.
"As the official on-campus bookstore, we are excited to support Baylor's Parent and Family Weekend traditions with an event for the whole family," said William Nors, store director of Baylor Bookstore. "Offering something for everyone, the Baylor Bookstore's signing features titles based in religion, history, fantasy and more."
