Morgan Named Assistant Dean at Truett Seminary

WACO, Texas - Dr. Michael Darold Morgan has been named the assistant dean for the George W. Truett Theological Seminary at Baylor University, effective with the next academic year.
"Dr. Morgan not only has the academic training but a proven record in theological education and working with Baptist institutions," said Dr. J. Bradley Creed, dean of Truett. "His experience and commitment to students will be a great asset to us in this stage of Truett's development."
A 1982 business/journalism graduate of Baylor, Morgan holds a master's degree in religious education from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a doctorate in higher education administration from the University of North Texas.
Since 1994, Morgan has managed benevolent funding for the endowment department of the Annuity Board of the Southern Baptist Convention in Dallas. He also has served as an adjunct professor of philosophy and religion for Tarrant County Junior College and as associate director of church/minister relations for Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
He is a member of Broadway Baptist Church of Fort Worth where he has served on the worship committee and as a single adult Sunday School teacher.
