Alumni Association to Host Senior Picnic May 9

May 2, 1996

The Baylor University Alumni Association will host a senior picnic for May and August graduates from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 9, at the Gov. Bill and Vara Daniel Historic Village.
The graduating seniors will receive free hamburgers, and free T-shirts will go to the first 600 seniors.
In case of rain, the event will be moved to Marrs McLean Gymnasium.
Jeff Kilgore, assistant director of development and marketing for the Alumni Association, said the purpose of the picnic is to show the students appreciation for their contributions to the university and establish relationships to help them stay connected to Baylor after they graduate.
"The picnic is just a way to say thank you to the students for all they have done for Baylor University," he said. "We also want to welcome them to the alumni part of the Baylor family."
