Second Annual FGA Stone Symposium To Be Held Thursday

Baylor University's department of chemistry and biochemistry will host the second annual FGA Stone Symposium at the Baylor Sciences Building May 26 and May 27.
The event is free and open to the public. Registration will close the morning of Wednesday, May 25.
The Stone Symposium series was established last year to honor the career of the late Welch Chair and Professor of Chemistry, Dr. F. Gordon A. Stone, a world-renown organometallic chemist and strong supporter of research at Baylor.
A memorial honoring the late Dr. FGA Stone will be included in the event.
Speakers will include:

  • Dr. Joan Valentine - University of California Los Angeles, Calif.
  • Dr. Jim Hurst - Washington State University, Pullman, Wash.
  • Dr. John Hart - University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, Texas
  • Dr. Paul Fitzpatrick - University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, Texas
  • Dr. Don Kurtz - University of Texas San Antonio, Texas
  • Dr. Ghezai Musie - University of Texas San Antonio, Texas
  • Dr. Brad Pierce - University of Texas at Arlington, Texas
  • Dr. Roshan Perera - University of Texas at Arlington, Texas
  • Dr. Juan C. Noveron - University of Texas El Paso, Texas
  • Dr. Laura Hunsicker-Wang - Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas
  • Dr. Dave Barondeau - Texas A&M University, Bryan/College Station, Texas
  • Dr. Kayla Green - Texas Christian University, Ft. Worth, Texas
