President's Prayer Breakfast Set for Jan. 19

WACO, Texas - The Baylor University annual President's Prayer Breakfast will be held at 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, in the Ferrell Center.
The prayer event will be attended by more than 1,000 religious and educational leaders throughout the Central Texas area.
Guest participants in the program will include Waco Independent School District Superintendent Fred Zachary, McLennan Community College President Dennis Michaelis, and Texas State Technical College President Fred Williams.
Participants from Baylor will include Director of Denominational Ministries Milton Cunningham, Professor of Curriculum and Instruction Dr. Ann Karaffa, Student Body President Collin Cox, Professor of Music Dr. Hugh Sanders, and Baylor President Robert B. Sloan Jr. A testimonial and prayer for divine guidance will be offered during the program as well as words from Sloan, who said the event will benefit the entire community spiritually.
"The event is a good opportunity for people throughout the Waco community to join together in prayer for our common needs and to get to know one another on a more personal basis," he said. "As a Christian university, we never want to take for granted the Lord's direction of and blessing on Baylor University."
